Color and Black & White Face

Take any photo and convert it into a black and white photo with splashes of color. This is really a great technique :)

Step 1: First open any image.

Step 2: Duplicate the layer by pressing Ctrl+J and name the dupliate layer black and white.

Step 3: Go to Image> Adjustment> Desaturate or press Ctrl+Shift+U the Black and White layer.

Step 4: Now it's time to coloring, with the "Black and White" layer active, select the Eraser tool. Select an appropriate brush size. Then zoom in and begin erasing the areas of the photo where you want the color to appear.

Step 5: So continue to erase any other aspects of the photo until you have the final result that you are looking for.
I erased the Lips and Hair from the Black and White layer for final result.

Hmm I wouldn't know what to use this technique for actually, but it's definitely something new that I learned. Thanks for sharing this!
